40 Days of Prayer - Day 17

PRAYERS

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
+
Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray.
+
Daily Offering
O my Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You all my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings of this day,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world,
in thanksgiving for Your goodness to me,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of my family and friends,
and those who have asked me to pray for them
and for our Holy Father, the Pope. Amen.

Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,

Think of three things for which to ask the Lord's forgiveness

Act of Contrition
O my God,
I am heartily sorry for
having offended You,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven,
and the pains of hell;
but most of all because
they offend You, my God,
Who are all good and
deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve,
with the help of Your grace,
to confess my sins,
to do penance,
and to amend my life. Amen.

I confess Jesus that I am a slave and only
You can break the chains that bind me.
I repent of relying on my own strength.
Without You, Jesus, I can do nothing.
I ask You Lord Jesus to set me free from
(name area in your life where you need freedom).
Come now Holy Spirit and clothe me with power from on high.

Give me the grace Lord Jesus to walk in faith today,

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this day, be at my side, To light and guard,

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defence against the wickedness
and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the
power of God, thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
